DAN DUCKERING
Partner
For close to a decade, Mr Dan Duckering has been a highly sought after business strategy consultant and coach. As the President and CEO of a major LTL carrier in Alberta, Mr Duckering developed a reputation of being a transportation industry leader earning the Alberta Motor Transport Association’s ‘Service to the Industry Award’ on two separate occasions.
In addition to being recognized by Today’s Trucking magazine as a ‘Top 20 Under 40’, the Business in Edmonton Magazine featured Duckering in their ‘Top Business Leader’ program. Since exiting from several of his business interests in 2017, Dan has focused his efforts on consulting work which explores innovative strategies around growth, corporate structuring and company culture. Duckering’s work has supported start-up organizations who have expanded internationally with millions of dollars in profitable sales in multiple countries and established organizations who have restructured into new markets and industry segments. Many of the projects Mr Duckering engage in also involve strategic M&A growth strategies where he guides the blending of corporate cultures, business systems, and operating procedures. Dan Duckering is known for thinking outside of the box and being comfortable with challenging the status quo. He tries to cultivate the perspective of the trail less traveled in an effort to cultivate vigorous and constructive conversations around different approaches to solve problems and achieve targets. Mr Duckering is heavily involved in the community as he volunteers in many organizations and on many committees. Much of his industry volunteer work has been around government advocacy groups and economic diversification.

KEVIN MEURIN
Partner
Having started his career as a class one long haul driver in the early 1990s, Kevin Meurin has worked within the transportation industry for over 30 years.
As a driver, Kevin has hands-on experience in both the general freight and specialized transportation sectors of the industry where he built a reputation that positioned him for internal promotions. Ultimately Kevin became a Senior Manager within the same company where he was once a driver and continued to lead the KPI Scorecard where his division was the top performer for many years. Over the past 18 years Kevin has held management positions with Regional, National and International carriers, building experience in both booming economic periods and suppressed markets. Most recently Mr Meurin served as General Manager for a cross-docking, warehousing and logistics facility which was positioned as a business incubator for start-up transportation and logistics companies. Working closely with both large and small clients and carriers from across North America, Kevin executed operational strategies to assist both the business he was leading and the clients that were leveraging the incubator to build their own transportation businesses. Kevin is known for his ability to identify and find solutions to operational inefficiencies and capitalize on new markets. As a strong believer in the importance of company culture, Kevin is particularly proud of his involvement with and management of employees, accomplished through team building, negotiation, consultation, training, accountability and inclusive collaboration.
